Students publish a Creative Writing Magazine
|
The students write and publish a magazine called GATEWAY. The magazine is comprised of original stories, poems and artwork done by the students in the School. A core group of students act as editors and are responsible for putting the publication together. GATEWAY has been a Brentwood tradition for over 15 years.

The students are taught the skills of creative problem solving and are given a variety of real life situations to which they can apply them. Students are encouraged to analyze, synthesize and evaluate information in various interscholastic competitions for which they must prepare projects: Invention Convention, Geography Fair, Creative Convention, Science Bowl and the History Bowl.
Logical thinking skills are taught through the use of the Mind Bender Logical Thinking Skills Program.
